Potrivit specialistului francez Jeremie Vauboillon, curentul de meteori, denumit popular "ploaie de stele cazatoare", cuprinde mii de miliarde de particule dintr-o cometa, care patrund in atmosfera cu viteza foarte mare.
"Ca sa va dau un exemplu, toata lumea stie ca in luna august sunt foarte multe stele cazatoare si toata lumea le poate vedea, fara un mare telescop. E foarte usor: te duci afara, deschizi ochii si le vezi. In octombrie, vor fi de doua ori sau chiar de sase ori mai multe stele cazatoare decat in august.

Potrivit expertului in predictii, ultima data fenomenul a fost vazut in 1946, iar inainte de acest an in 1933.
"Este ceva foarte rar, este exceptional si va rog sa nu ratati aceasta ocazie. Daca aveti bunici care au vazut curentul din 1946 sau din 1933 va vor spune ca este un eveniment unic in viata. Chiar trebuie sa-l vedeti, ca este ceva ce nu vedem zilnic", a mai declarat specialistul in predictii.
Potrivit lui Vauboillon, "Draconidele” vor putea fi vazute din intrega Europa, dar si din partea de vest a Asiei, Romania fiind "perfecta pentru observarea acestui eveniment".
Calculele facute de specialistii Observatorului Astronomic din Bucuresti arata ca undeva intre ora 22 si 3 dimineata ar trebui sa observam mai multe stele cazatoare care par a veni din constelatia Draco, aflata nu departe de stralucitoarea stea Vega.
"Nu le vom vedea pe toate in acea constelatie si pentru a determina daca am observat o draconida trebuie sa prelungim inapoi traiectoria meteorului sa vedem daca ajunge in constelatia Draco", spune specialistii.
