Ela Rose is the beautiful new dance revelation of Romanian music. Manuela Cherejy, who is known as Ela Rose, debuted on Romanian’s music market with the single produced by David Deejay, “I can feel.”

She was born on 4 January 1990 in Romania, in a little town from Transilvania, named Stei. She was passionate about music since she was a child and in childhood she was part of the school choir. During the four years of high school, she practiced volleyball.

Her life changed in 2008, when, at a local event in her home town, she met David Deejay, a well-known Romanian producer. David Deejay, on his real name Adi Colceru, was amazed by her vocal talent and immediately proposed her a musical featuring. The 18-year old girl was thrilled that she would have the chance to work along a renowned producer and she accepted his offer. Thus, Ela Rose project was born and her first single ‘I can feel’ was released in March 2009. After high school, Ela moved to Bucharest where she currently studies journalism, but still continues the prolific collaboration with the music producer David Deejay.

Ela Rose project wanted to be something different from what you could hear in the Romanian music market, and her first single “I Can Feel” succeeded this.“I Can Feel” hit single, released in March 2009, was written by Adi Colceru, being the first project produced at his DAV7 Music studio. The song met a great success, being broadcasted on heavy rotation on almost all the radio stations in Romania. The single topped in all music charts, outmatching popular artists.

Moreover, “I Can Feel” was named “Record of the Year 2009″ at Vibe FM, one of the most important clubbing dance music stations in Romania. David Deejay and Ela Rose shot a video for their first musical collaboration. It was filmed in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, and it was directed by Dragos Buliga, a leading Romanian director. The video was released in June 2009. Ela Rose’s first single also plunged to top positions into international charts. The song was broadcasted in almost every country of Europe. Even the famous label Ministry of Sound included “I can feel” in their playlist. Already a music brand in Romania, Ela Rose has released her second single in 2010 titled “No you, no love.” It is also produced by David Deejay, in collaboration with Gino Manzotti, member DJ Project, an artist with over 10 years of music experience.

The song’s lyrics are written by Ela Rose, who over time has written lyrics for many Romanian artists, being passionate about poetry and philosophy. The song “No You, No Love” has been very well received by the public since the beginning and it conquered the charts as the smashing hit “I Can Feel.”

2011 brings a new single, Lovely Words. Freshly released in March, the song is written by David Deejay with lyrics by Ela Rose.
